Some popcorn hit her in the eye, so the lute fell from the stubble of Francesca la Fea's shoulders. She scrambled for her wooden crutches so that she could escape before something larger could hit her. But a beer can hit her shoulder, causing her to drop the crutches before she could gain a full grasp on them.
It was bad enough that they were in her hometown.
